Status meeting. Everyone still giddy from last night’s free Beyoncé concert/rally (not the rally part but Bey Bey was beautiful), except the glum settled in with the group when someone mentioned Joe Rogan.
Apparently from general polling— celebrity endorsements do very little to move the needle. And sometimes they hurt. Typically, they get your base excited for the moment, but not enough to motivate them to actually vote, apparently.
On the other hand — Joe Rogan. As my staff explains it … he has an extremely large amount of followers made up of low propensity voters. He’s not really seen as a “celebrity” but more as a “truth” finder. He introduced many of his listeners to RFK Jr. a few months back, and apparently motivated a new wave of support for him. And, our staff does think Rogan could have a positive impact on the Trump vote tally.
Like actual votes.
From our internal sources, we heard Trump was a 10 out of 10 on the podcast. They talked for three hours — without notes — on complex policy issues.
My team canceled my Rogan sit down. No way I could make it through that.
Well, the team is just hoping that most of the people listening missed their registration deadline or have already voted. Because, they think, if the people take the time to listen to the common sense policies and unity ticket Trump is touting… They will vote for Trump.
In 2020, flipping just a little more than 81,139 votes in four states would have changed the winner of the election. Rogan has a listening audience of over 50 million. I’m not great at math, but that doesn’t sound good. For me.
Well, my staff explains we do have the media still on our side. They will cherry-pick a few of the “not so perfect” moments and twist the truth and/or take words out of context to try and minimize the tremendous hit we could take if people actually listen to the entire thing themselves. Watch for themselves. And use their own eye and ears.
We probably good. Potentially. Also F Rogan. Gotta get the first amendment curtailed. On day one.
We good.
